Bright ID
Bright ID is a social identity network that proves a person's uniqueness by authenticating their connections with others in the Social Graph. It ensures that individuals cannot have multiple accounts and verifies their connections with acquaintances. Interestingly, it only requires a photo and name for authentication, eliminating the need for personal information like birthdates and addresses. There are several Authentication Methods available. One method involves scanning a QR code, which presents options such as "I know this person," "Just met this person," or "Suspicious." It is also possible to create groups and connect with multiple people simultaneously. To prevent fraudulent activity, both parties must provide the same answers, guaranteeing that they are indeed human. For individuals who do not have friends on the platform, there is a gathering where everyone can connect together. Bright ID is also utilized as a measure against Civil Attack, particularly during AirDrop events. One user shared their experience on Twitter, mentioning that they needed to authenticate through the KYC app called Bright ID to receive UNI tokens and NFTs. The authentication process involved interacting with individuals via Zoom, which added a bit of complexity but ultimately resulted in successfully receiving the rewards.
